Meet Jennifer

My entire life, I’ve been on the move. I loved to be active, to keep my mind and body occupied with whatever task was at hand. I played sports at a high level, I worked out, I competed in triathlons and won Fitness and Figure competitions, and I traveled, sometimes for fun and adventure, and sometimes, quite honestly, just to get away from…whatever.

I’ve worked tirelessly toward personal and professional fitness goals, achieving the certifications and accreditations I thought I needed. I’ve led a life in pursuit improvement, and what I learned, after moving to Santa Fe and dedicating myself to teaching yoga, meditation and self-healing through one-on-one yoga/meditation retreats is that pursuit without balance doesn’t get you anywhere.

Motion is important, and forward motion has always been my goal. But moving forward up the steep incline of an unbalanced life can lead you nowhere, leave you depleted, and sadly, rush you right past the things that are most important in sustaining a life rich in all-around wellness—physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social.

My current practices helped me understand the importance of selfcare and connection through community, of learning from, leaning on, and supporting others. I have a better grasp on the concept of slowing down in the right moments. I know and teach the significance of reflection in the personal growth process. I take my time when helping others. I dedicate myself fully to the person, task, or challenge in front of me. I’m more mindful and comfortable with my journey and my personal learning process. And most importantly, I recognize that the journey inward, and into the lives of others, has a more significant impact on my overall wellness than I previously thought.

Wellness and optimum health is a birthright, and that’s a big part of what I work with my clients to understand. I work every day to be the very best version of myself and live by example for my children, clients and everyone I meet. My vision in life is to empower people to live their healthiest, happiest life; mentally, physically and spiritually.

I’m the mother of two beautiful, though mostly grown now ☹️, children. I’m a nationally certified personal trainer (NSCA, ISSA & AFAA), and have helped hundreds of people achieve their personal and professional (competition) fitness goals. I also compete in fitness competitions, where I’ve won 3 NPC Fitness, Figure and Bikini titles, and I’ve competed in 8 National Level NPC Bikini Competitions…all after taking a break to have my second baby! I still love competing because it keeps me sharp and ensures that I’m always in tune with the most current and useful training techniques, and it makes me a better trainer for my clients.

I achieved my Yoga Teacher certification 200 hour, and recently My 500 hour yoga teacher training. I’ve taught Yin, Restorative, Mindful flow, and Powerflow for over 6 years, and enjoy every opportunity to teach. I’m inspired to see how it connects people to their hearts during the practice on the mat. I love how yoga and fitness teaches us to be fully in tune with our bodies and reminds us how important it is to be out of our heads.

We’re all on a journey. I was fortunate enough to meet and be guided by friends, teachers, and masters who helped me learn to balance my journey in a manner that helped me take the most out of my experiences.

I’d love to do the same for you.
